Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA)

PBA offers a wide variety of benefits to HBA members.  The following are a few of the highlights:

Builders Benefits - Offering a self-insured health plan to members of the Pennsylvania Builders Association Benefits Trust and their affiliates.

Workers Compensation Program - Provides worker's compensation coverage to homebuilders and associates.

PA One Call - State law requires anyone performing excavation to notify the owners of all underground utilities, pipelines and cables in the proposed work area at least three working days before the start of excavation. The PA One-Call system was created to provide those performing excavation with a safe, easy and reliable method for notifying owners of underground utilities, pipelines and cables. 

When you receive an invoice for a call, please fax it to the HBA at (215) 657-9080. As a member of the PBA, any and all calls are free.

Membership Meetings

• The HBA hosts regular general membership meetings (GMMs) at various locations throughout Bucks & Montgomery Counties.  Examples of HBA Membership Meetings include the December Holiday Party with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Meet the Builder: Speed Networking Session and the annual Texas Hold 'Em Tournament.

Recognition

The HBA Bucks/Montgomery presents the presitigious Pinnacle Awards each year, recognizing excellence and achievements in the home building industry.  More than 80 building, marketing, associate and personal achievement categories will be awarded. The Pinnacle Awards are the highest honor given in the Bucks & Montgomery housing industry. This highly anticipated black tie gala attracts over 300 of the best and brightest in local building talent.

 Government Affairs

The HBA Bucks/Montgomery Counties actively monitors and lobbies local and state governmental officials on issues that promote and defend the housing industry. Weekly news updates and regular web updates are made available to the membership.  The association's government affairs program is guided by the Industry Action Committee - financial support for candidates is made possible through the HBA's Political Action Committee (PAC).
