Home Builders Association Announces EPA Lead Paint Certification Seminar

On Friday, January 22, 2010, the Home Builders Association of Bucks and MontgomeryCounties will sponsor an EPA- required Certified Renovator Course addressing the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule requirements which go into effect April 22, 2010.   The course, titled “EPA Lead Paint Certification: Will You Be Ready in 2010?” will be provided by EnviroEd, a partner of the National Center for Healthy Housing and an EPA-accredited training provider.

Housing's Economic Impact in Pennsylvania - September 2009

 Using statistical analysis provided by the National Association of Home Builders, a regional Pennsylvania study found that the construction of 100 single-family homes in the Philadelphia region generates $25.6 million in local income, $3 million in taxes and fees for local governments, and nearly 450 local jobs. While the level of such impact will vary across Pennsylvania, this study illustrates that new home construction has a sizeable positive impact within local economies, and similar effects can be expected for all regions of the state when new home construction takes place.
